Hello all, my name is Dave. You can call me Dave or Breathe I don't mind. I just recently learned about LDs from a friend and I found my way to this site by googling. The night I read all of the main page, I actually had a LD but haven't in the few days since then. I think I actually accidently had a WILD too. I went to bed around 11:30 and had my alarm set for 5:30 because I was going to wake up and write down what I remembered of my dream's at that time. Well I wrote down a few line's about my dream I was having (it was a normal dream) and then just sat there and closed my eye's for a bit and started trying to get back to sleep. All I was thinking about before I went to bed was how I wanted to have a lucid dream. Then it seemed like it was immediately after I went to sleep that I was dreaming and I knew I was having an LD. There weren't any reality check's or anything, I just knew I was dreaming. I didn't have much control over the dream but I was next to a river and I remember jumping in and being able to breathe forver and swim with the fish. The next day is when I actually read up on WILDs and I saw many similiarities to what I did.

So did I actually do a WILD without even meaning to? If I did I would love to be able to do it again with actually meaning to . Well it's great to be a part of another forum and I can't wait to get into posting some more with all you guy's.

      Dave

      Welcome to Dream Views Dave

So yeah, sounds like you had a WILD, awesome job. You did what alot of people do when they attempt a WILD, and that's to wake up at 5am or so, then go back to sleep while 'willing' themselves in some way to have a lucid dream (either by focusing on hypnagogic imagery, vibrations, or simply telling themselves that they "will have a lucid dream.")

Beyond that, I would definitely keep up with the dream journal.

      Welcome to DV, Dave!

It's definately possible to WILD without meaning to, my mum does it regularly. That sounds like a pretty cool dream that you had, especially since it was one of your first.

Check out the tutorials section for info on the common induction methods.

      Good luck!

      Hi Dave! Welcome.
About that being aware from the begining, I had that too! I was lucid from the start, flying through a tunnel made of mirror pieces and blinding light. Then I went into some sort of a dream setting with a door.
