      Unhappy

      I'm frustrated. LOL

There's this thing that's been happening that just drives me nuts! So, there I am, dreaming normally, when I know I'm dreaming. Only not in the sense of actually having a clue or anything. Now how weird is that?

Let me try to explain. So some nights back I was dreaming and there was a part where I was talking to my mom on the phone and I just thought it was amazing how her voice, in a dream, sounded just lilke in real life. I even listened more intently to try and find any difference, but couldn't. So I knew I was dreaming, but wasn't really aware of it. Does that make sense? The dream just moved on as usually, me being none the wiser.

It was like tonight. I was dreaming and there was this part when I realised I was missing a bag I had before. I just thought it was ok, cause I was dreaming and if the bag were needed, it would just show up out of nowhere. And again, at some level, I knew I was dreaming, but wasn't really aware of the fact.

Later in the night I had another dream where I was going up this spiral stone staircase on a medieval castle and again I had this random thought, "I'm dreaming". But there I actually knew. It suddenly hit me the true meaning of it and I just stopped and said to myself: "wait a minute. I AM dreaming". Which was kind of cool.

Only I thought I had to finish what I was doing in the dream. And I thought it was ok, if only I could remember all the time that I was dreaming. But even at that moment I knew that was incredibly stupid and I would most likely forget. Which, of course, I did. The dream went on and for a couple more minutes I knew it was a dream and acted accordingly, but at some point I just stopped "knowing" and went with it.

      I'm frustrated.

      Hiya.
Don't be frustrated, it's quite a common thing. It happens to me all the time! I put these things down to experience, and hope they'll make me aware for next time.

But look on the bright side, you did eventually manage to realise you were dreaming.
Often when you first become lucid, you lose it pretty soon afterwards, because you're so busy thinking of what you should be doing, and you get all excited.
The answer to that question is, DO NOTHING. just go with it and enjoy it.
It's not usually worth trying to do something really mega complicated to begin with, just to keep it simple.
Also, if you feel like your lucidity is failing, try telling yourself that it's your dream and there's no need to panic, or rub your hands together.
Those two tricks work really well for me.
good luck with your next lucid dream, and feel free to Pm me if you have any more questions.

I've had that several times now. One example was I was using my computer, and something was messing up, so while trying to fix it I suddenly just said "Oh, I'm dreaming. The real thing's fine anyway" and yet didn't become lucid, I just went on with the dream.

No no, that is lucidity, just on a very low level. When that happens, clear your mind completely, and then just... go for it. Do whatever you feel.
