WILD question from an unsusual dude.

Hi, I've always been interested in lucid dreaming, but it's not known

much in Korea. However, alot of people are experiencing what I believe

is the WILD state, and in my country we consider it to be a bad thing, or

an encounter with a ghost. In fact most beginners get scared at the early

stage of it, and I guess these scary thoughts makes images of ghosts or

sounds of ghosts. I wanted to experience this so I did some research and

intentionally induced the WILD state. At first I heard wierd ringings in my

ears and saw some lights. I got scared and tried to scream and wake up,

but my body was paralized and my voice didn't come out right. My body

felt like it was sinking and floating away. man that was freakin' scary.

I've never been more scared in my life. Anyway so I decided to try the

other way, to realize I'm dreaming. So I started to keep a journal yesterday.

I think I remember most of my dreams pretty well. First I dreamt in

English, about me being with the actors from "That 70's Show" and,

Fez was speaking perfect English and stuff, then smoothly everything

faded away and turned black. I realized I woke up, but I didn't open my

eyes. Then I remembered I have to write this down, so when I popped

open my eyes, Suddenly! I fell in to a violent WILD state. I heard that

strange ringing in my ears again, and I felt my body was sinking again.

But this time I remained calm, and told myself to be calm. Then suddenly

the ringing stopped and the sinking stopped. But I felt my body was floating

I couldn't open my eyes cause' I was afraid I might see a ghost. I heard

when you see a ghost at this state it's nothing compared to seeing ghosts

in TV or movies. It's so real you crap your pants. anyway, then suddenly

I turned over and got on my knees (un-intentionally), then started to bang

my head like a rock star. It felt like as if someone else was controlling

my body. Then after about 15 seconds it ended, and I fell asleep.

Any thoughts on this?

oh and I really can't realize that it's a dream when I'm dreaming.

everything just seems perfectly normal, for example on the second dream

I was marrying this Korean girl, but her father was Morgan Freeman.

and I didn't think anything was strange. I was even driving on top of

buildings and stuff. and I think I saw Oprah when I jumped into the river.

and saw a S.W.A.T guy beat up some dude with kick boxing.

but everything felt just normal, and I didn't even had a chance to think

to perform a Reality Test. can't even find common things in my dreams

everything changes so quickly.

You have a lot to learn about the world in general. The world you see, the world you know, better yet, the world you "think" you know, is only a fragment of the overall knowledge few possess about our spiritual/physical world. These "ghosts" your so afraid of could be one of two things. As i have not experienced your strange encounter, i would not know exactly what they are. First of all, you were probably experiencing the beggining stage of an OOBE (out-of-body-experience). You mentioned that you heard weird noises, and you felt paralyzed at one point? Well, i am quite educated on the subject of Astral Travel (basically the same thing as an OOBE, although it has its differences) and your symptoms of this incident match many of the symptoms of an OOBE. When you were 'sinking' you weren't doing anything out of the ordinary. The only difference is you were awake to realize it. When i say that, i mean awake in the mind. In fact, you may not know this, but you astral project every night of your life. Everytime you go to sleep, your projecting, its just that you don't realize it. Since this time, you were practing a lucid dream technique, which im not familiar with, your mind stayed awake, and yet your body went to sleep. While your in this state, it's possible to feel 'vibrations' (which i get 1 out of every 20 nights, even though im not trying). Also, as you mentioned, its possible to hear weird noises, that may seem scary at first, but you must realize that these noises are most of the time, coming from the electromagnetic fields that surround your body. Also, you say you felt like there was a 'ghost' in your presence? For the most part, you went into this excerisize, pre-frightened of this 'ghost' your talking of. What you must realize, is that there is no ghost. Yes, spirits exist while you are projecting (that is, out of your body, which is again, nothing miraculous), but they cannot do anything to you, and most of them dont want anything to do with you. Others are actually friendly, and may even be people that live down the street from you. This incident shouldn't scare you as much as it should have educated yourself on the world around us. You should learn more about the world around you to better yourself. What you know about the world is only trivial information concerning the materialistis minds of 99% of the human population.

oh yeah, forgot to tell you that many people while experiencing their first OOBE, or astral projection often get the sence of a foreign presence in the area, most of the time, purely ending up being fear. soo your 'ghost' probably exists in your mind, and your mind alone.

I think that people around here call those noises and colours Hypnogogic Imagery. They happen when you're using WILD and are nothing to be afraid of.

First time I became lucid, I was terrified of encountering something scary.

So, most of my early dreams were kinda like a "basic training " for dream world.
I learned to summon weapons and manipulate dream energies.

Only after this I decided I'm ready to face demons/ghosts and my dark side.

To have a scary experience in your first WILD/LD is certainly worst thing you can have....

My advice is - if you dont have much nightmares, try using plot/scenery of a LD to ward off dark thoughts and demons and stuff...

For you to claim intelligence over someone you have a lot of grammatical mistakes in your above sentence structure. I’m not even remotely impressed. Slash, you must come to realise what is causing the fear you feel. Most of the time it is simply the unknown, The one thing I will cocur with mitizaa is that the word is a big place, bigger than most think and is not made up of just the physical. And this leaves us alot to wonder about and it can conjure fear.

You must relax yourself, it may take some time, it took me quite a while to just relax and let the unknown take me, its scary as hell but there is nothing to fear at such an early stage. You fear because you do not know, so seek knowledge and have confidence, all the things you experienced were normal, those of us that have experienced them know that at first.. yes its scary but when you begin to understand the fear subsides and you can do incredible things and see some incredible places, even meet people that may teach you something =D to further that knowledge
