      Hello all!
I am Brian and although i may be new to this site, i am not new to the world of Lucid Dreaming. I write today to wonder how i can stop my self-fulfilling prophecy from becoming true in my dreams. I am an avid dreamer and i do not want to stop practicing getting better, but these dreams are scaring me. A helpful member of dreamsviews had actually already given me some advice on this, but i love second opinions and such.

      Thank you all,
      Brian

      Welcome.

Perhaps an account of one of these dreams that scared you might help, or a broader definition of what you mean by your 'self-fulfilling prophecy'. There really isn't much to go on.

My advice from what I'm gathering is that you're taking the wrong direction to better yourself. Let loose, allow yourself more space, maybe fly around the block a couple of times. There are many ways of practicing to get better as a whole without making it scary, uneasy, or 'over the line'.

That's all I can really say for now. Hopefully I'll come back with some insights that help.

Without saying too much, i will say that during a normal day i got through a certain social anxiety. During this time i begin to panic and it is needed for me to get out of the current situation. If i dont SOMETHING BAD will happen. During my waking life, this something bad has never occured. Yet, during my dreams it will occur quite frequently.

I think you need to realize in your dream life that its a dream. And when you do become lucid and controll it.
