      Hi, guys.

I just found out about this forum (actually via StumbleUpon, a Firefox add-on, heheh), and it looks pretty neat. I've had a couple semi-lucid dreams, but honestly, I barely remember them, and I'm basically very new to this.

I'm also a very avid writer, and I've been trying to get better at dream recall as well as lucid dreaming in order to perhaps help me with plotting some of my stories.

      Anyways, hello to all!

      Hey welcome to the forum!

I love to write also, and I'm using alot of stuff from my dream journal and from dream memories lucid and not for this book I'm working on. I'm sooo glad to have my Dream Journal...especially since when I read back through it, I don't even remember having those dreams until I read them. Good luck!

Well, they were only a couple years ago, but they were by complete accident. Also, I had no control. I have kept a dream journal of some of my more interesting dreams (mostly for use in writing; if I find them intriguing, I'll write them down), and one of them is a lucid dream where I just sort of said to myself, "Wait a second, why would that happen?" and I became aware that I was in a dream (no control, though :/). I still have to transpose all of the journals from longhand to my computer before I can bring them up on my dream journal (which I haven't made yet, but intend to do so). I don't know how easy it's going to be, though...I'm kind of unused to the concept (I had no idea that any of that existed until I found this site, actually...), so meh...

Anyways, thanks for the welcoming everybody. Also, just wondering, is anyone else here a musician? I do a lot of different instruments, focusing on bass, keyboard, guitar, and vocals (bass is my main instrument, really). I was thinking about it and I imagine that it might be good for both inspiration (writing music and stuff), and practicing (hours of freetime to practice the same riff over in your head might be a good thing ).

You should check out the artist's forum. There's alot of great musicians hiding out there.

LDing is brilliant for inproving skills on instruments. Unfortunately I can't be bothered to sit down and do something that I could do in real life, when I could be flying around like superman

LDing can also be used to conquer stage fright - practice playing in front of a massive audience.

      btw welcome to the forum

Heh. Stage-fright is one of the things that I really do not need help with. I love playing music in front of people and being on stage or even in front of a small audience is like my favorite thing to do.
