I just found out about this whole lucid dreaming thing and it sounds very cool. I think I have done this because I wake up every Morning at 6am but on weekends I get up 2 hours later. I think it happens on weekends because of something I read called a cycle adjustment. I also experience those hypnagogic jerks all the time but wake up right after. However: I can just about control myself in these dreams (Nothing like flying or other crazy things that I've read) but It's not like in the dream I say to myself that I'm dreaming. I want to go for a WILD but have some questions:
1. I'm going to sleep about 10:30 and going to wake up about 4am. Then keep myself up for about 30 mins. Then I'm going to go for the breathing thing and watching numbers in my head. Eyes closed I assume? Then just lay there until whatever happens?
2. If I do start dreaming, won't I have to already be lucid so that I can make myself hold my nose or something? I mean that unless the thought that I might be dreaming occurs to me while I'm actually dreaming, I won't think to pinch myself or hold my nose, right? And if I'm aware that I'm dreaming and controlling myself to run around a dream city and what I feel like, do I tell myself "Wake up now.", or is there some strange method to this.
3. Anything else I should know or expect that could help? Or some explanations if I've got the completely wrong idea about this.
