Well, I suppose it depends on what method you used or choose to use that night. I've been trying the WBTB method, so I wake up for 10-15 minutes anyways, so I might as well record dreams that I remembered. |

Hey, I stumbled upon your site last night. I read a few post and now im confused. Do you record your dreams right after REM sleep or when you wake up? Thanks guys, i cant wait to start dreaming! |

You can do both to be honest. Recalling after a REM will have easier recall but I do it in the morning usually just after I wake up because I'm just lazy. Either way it still works though. |

You can do it both ways, depending on the method you use and if you feel up to it. I do it when I wake up, but sometimes I wait until 'bout 3-5 PM because I wake up so early, I don't recommend doing that though unless you have really good memory on dreams [luckily for me, I do] |
