i just found this site today, and i just found out what this whole *lucid* thing was a few days ago. the idea is... well... AMAZING. ive had about 3 LD's in the past 2 months, but ive never had the ability to manipulate my scene or feel anything in great detail. but as the topic states: how real can it feel? i saw a post about by some guy who was getting his muscles ripped out and was feeling intense pain... im hoping that isnt common, is it? and dont bother pointing out all the links for how to induce lucidity, ive already spent a lot of researching it all, and ive already gotten started on the techniques 8) . |

These are the tears that I dream about...
If your brain can create senses in your dream than it would certainly be able to create pain wouldnt it? |

Technically, lucid dreams can have sufficient realism to make them indistinuishable from real life, even dream phenonema like shifting digits fail sometimes, although such dreams are very rare. Usually, on the onset of lucidity, I feel like I am in a dream. But its often not that crystal clear - many of us have been fooled by false awakenings and the like... |

How real can it get, you ask. |

If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...
