everytime I dream I see crazy shit happening but I always accept it, like if I see a giant spider I just accept it and think its real, shouldn't I snap into lucidity? I need some help with this.

It's all too common to have this happen and I myself suffer from this a lot. The only real advice I can give is logical, analytical thought thoughout your waking life. Doing reality checks when anything remotely odd happens and when you do, asess the likeliness of the situation your in. That way, eventually you'll be able to notice the stupid things that happen in dreams.

Happens to me all the time too. So every time it happened, I would try to conciously say "if I ever see that again, it's a dreamsign".

But, but brain likes to play tricks and rarely do I see the same things/people again. Even in my dreams I pick out dreamsigns but they don't snap me into it.

For example, last night I dreamt I was at a lake. My buddy was going to go wakeboarding behind a boat. He was starting on the shore and what was pulling him? A pickup with a boat on a trailer behind it!

I said to my other buddy in my dream "That will never work! Oh man, that guy is stupid!" HE took off, the truck sank and the boat floated on the trailer... lol. The guy boarding was pissed because he didn't get going fast enough.

Then we walk over under some trees to the "swimming area" near the lake. The ground was weird, like little puff balls on the ground. I'd walk on them and spores/pollen would shoot up. They were everywhere, so it was hard to avoid. A DC tells me "yep, lots of pollen." I say "That's gonna suck for my allergies!"

Two wacky things in a dream. But I guess not wacky enough to snap me into lucidity. lol

happens to me awl the time - Lastnight, I was in the car and my grandfather was driving, then we got out and got back in and my parrents were driving and i didnt even notice and then we were driving and we started driving up this waterfall with no water and these giant rocks that looked like eggs, and in between the rocks were truely gigantic bullets and we were driving over them and I look up and say "wow that would make a nice picture"

so yea no lucidity in that one. Im pretty shure that its normal, for one reason or another, we automatically accept things in our dreams.

Stonehenge

P.S. after we got over the waterfall, we went to McDonalds and my shoes dissapeared when i walked in the building...still no lucidity
We all live and die, but most of us die without living.

Awaking to find your still asleep: priceless

The best way is to look for reoccurant, odd dreamsigns! Or impossibilities, like dead people you know being alive.

The worst example of this happening to me occurred just a few days ago. I was at my house, and my dad walked up and said, "You have to come out back for a bit and help me."
"Do what?" I asked.
"Get rid of that whale that washed up on our side of the pond."
I paused for a bit, and then said, "Yeah right. I dream about things like that, you're not fooling me." I looked outside and saw that in fact it was a gigantic fallen tree, not a whale, and assumed that I had explained everything nicely, and continued on with my dream.

Hint to my subconscious: If you know that you dream about something that is currently happening, you might be dreaming.
"You know that place between sleep and awake... the place where you can still remember dreaming? That's where I'll be waiting."

I think that both of those things were unthreatening so you accepted them- the pickup seems almost humorous in a way. The pollen is dealt with in real life so you accept it plausible that there could be puff balls of pollen.
