I'm new to this site and am intrested in getting help with LDing. I've been trying for about 8 months now and so far every time I realize I am dreaming I get too excited and wake up. For the past week or so I've been trying WILD but to only moderate success. I'm looking for some suggesstions on how to best use that technique.

Hi and welcome to Dv , well you seem to know the basics because you have been having LDs, you just need a way to maintain them. I suggest that when you become LD just take the time to relax and sort out your thought. Also if you start to notice that you are waking up or losing lucidity rub your hands.

lol but neways for the whole.. getting excited thing.. what you can do is when you realize your dreaming is focus intently on ur hand, study it, get yourself totally emersed in looking and studying your hand. your excitement will soon pass.. hopefully! good luck

Hiya there. The first thing I'd suggest is to NOT make the same mistake many new LDers make, and go straight to WILD. I'd try to boost your recall and try the MILD technique. I believe, especially at beginning stages in LDing, it provides way more bang for your buck in terms of effort/success. Also, WILD is way easier once you've had success with other LDing mthods and know what an LD "feels" like, in my opinion.

Welcome to DV though, and enjoy your stay.
