Hmm, let's see, I'm Svaist. The name doesn't really mean anything, it's just a little word play with one of my favorite guitarists, Steve Vai.
I'm 17, and I found out about Lucid Dreaming a little over half a year ago when I was Wiki hopping. I found it when I was looking up information on A Scanner Darkly, and it led me to the movie Waking Life.
Although I've had one or two lucid dreams since I found out about them, I haven't really had the greatest of chances to practice until now. For about five months, I was in Japan, and they have the worst sleeping schedule for practicing lucid dreams. I was getting a maximum of 6 hours of sleep at a time, missing out on the two best hours of REM sleep of the night in most cases.
So, now I'm reading to start back up again, and I've already restarted my dream journal.
Around the same time I found out about Lucid Dreaming, I joined the forum ld4all, but when I returned from Japan it seemed to have been deleted. So I followed a link from Wikipedia onto here, because I thought joinning a forum on LD'ing would be the best way to keep my mind on it enough to increase my success rate.
