Well, I have been here for 3 nights, and the first 2 nights I had great dream memory remembering at least 1 and on the second night part of a second. Is it okay some nights to not remember what your dreams are about? I woke up this morning and didn't remember anything at all. I'm a little dissappointed thinking that this may slow down and make it take A LOT longer to achieve Ludicity Well thanks in advance,

Just keep practicing and make sure you keep a dream journal. You'll get there eventually.

Try oversleeping on the weekends, or when you have time. This usually works wonders for me. When you wake up just refuse to get out of bed, each time you wake up you should remember your dream. Each time I go back to sleep and wake up, i have another dream i remember.

Is there anyways to have LD's without remembering all my dreams at night, such as if I am being very aware in the real world and questioning everything in the real world will this help me?

Hi Shea, like you I am trying to remember my dreams. I used to be pretty good at LD'ing, but haven't done it for a while. Now I've been starting all over again with dream recall. Wasted's advice to get decent sleep is a good idea. For me, good sleep is #1 for dream recall. In fact, if I go to sleep too late and I am very tired (even if my sleep is good) I have a hard time remembering dreams when waking up. Get good sleep, don't be too sleepy.

Then, what is working for me is that I tell myself "when I wake up, I will remember my dreams". That works better for me that just "I will remember my dreams". I imagine myself waking in the middle of the night (to go to the bathroom, for instance...) and remembering to write down a dream on my pad. Anything, not the whole dream necessarily -- I will take any memory at all when waking.

Another trick that can help, is getting a clock with two alarms (Timex makes a clock with three alarms, sells it through Radio Shack). I set mine to wake me up about 5 1/2 hours after going to bed, and I set it to wake me with surf sounds so that I don't startle awake. For my normal wake time, I have the noisy, rude buzzer to make sure I get up.

And sometimes, you don't remember anything: it happens. Just keep at it. Persistence will make it happen.
This lucid dream has encountered a fatal error! Reboot? [Y/N]

Ya it all helps. I'm no guru but I've had a few LD's now and all that any of this does (RC's, DJ etc) is improve the chances that you will have a lucid dream so the more you do them... the higher your chances.

I have incredible dream recall for whatever reason but I might be able to help you out there... As you may or may not have noticed, sometimes when you write out say 1 that you remember, another dream might all of the sudden come to your head. The trick is coming to that cue that signals what that dream is... anyways that was written confusingly but point is... when you wake up, go through everything in your life really quickly (ie family, school etc), just an overview and I think you'll find it can really help.

Sometimes, for instance, I won't remember I single dream... and then after I try that technique, it will be enough to cue me to the fact that 'oh! my dream involved... my brother' and you can go from there. Try it out
