Post

Just wantedto post to introduce myself and ask a fewquestions. I've been reading this site for a while now but joined up just yesterday and can't wait to start lucid dreaming! :yumdumdoodledum:

Also a few questions, first off, should I make sure I can remember my dreams every night before I even bother to try to lucid dream?

And also, I've read the forums and site about WILDs, Is it possible for beginners to learn this? And if so, how long to you stay in the WILD state? A few minutes? maybe an hour? or would it be just like sleeping for about 3-4 hours?

Anyways, happy to be finally signed up on the forums, and working toward lucid dreaming already!

First off, welcome to Dreams Views!!!
Here are some answers in the order of the questions:

you don't have to make sure you have fantastic recall, but a good goal would be to remember 2 dreams or more a night and then you could start trying to get lucid, but you can still have DILDs without trying.

i haven't learned wilds yet, but hearing about other peoples success tells me that it takes a while to perfect it. you might only be able to go to the first or second stage of a WILD. im not sure about how long it would take.

hope you are successful with your lucids!

Thank ya Eppy and Howie!
Just woke up from a nap and remembered another dream!
Thanks for the Answers too, now that I'm remembering more dreams the more silly they seem to be LOL, almost silly to the point where I'm not sure if i should write em down because I would remember smething like that.

Hi Edritch,

I'm pretty new here myself. I don't have enough experience to help you out so I can only offer moral support as someone who's in the same boat.

As a frequent pot smoker who can't recall my dreams because of it, I've decided to stop smoking for that very reason and so far it's working. When I was a lot younger I would often find myself in sleep paralysis and a few times had some false awakenings. They only occurred during naps so I'm trying to find more nap time!

Good luck in your LD adventures!

Hey Eldritch_of_Fire, I'm new too and like you I haven't experienced an LD yet either. From what I gathered from reading some threads, you don't necessarily need to remember your dreams every day but obviously being able to do so will increase the chances of remembering an LD if you have one. So if you can remember your dreams most of the time you might as well start trying to get lucid. [topic="7236"]Here[/topic] is the dream recall tutorial if you haven't read it yet.

Good luck!

Hello there Glad you found the forum. I definitely think dream recall is important - how do you know you're not having cool LDs and just don't remember them? I'm sure it's happened to everyone at some point.
