Thread: My Ld Attempts

hey everyone, i've been reading this site for a good month or so and am really into the whole lucid dream notion. I just wanted to ask a few things, to make sure im going about it the right way....

i dont seem to be able to find any dream signs...my dreams are varied, unreal and not worth explaining lol, so i got the idea from a post on this forum..i do RCs whenever i pass through a door. i dont remember even half the time, usually just at night. my dream recalls alright too btw.

but last week in a dream, i arrived at a door and did a RC which failed and i got a flush of warmth over my body and was like "I DID IT!" and then everything went hazy and i awoke...excitement i guess. But, iv been doing even more reality checks this week and have had nothing


am i right in guessing i just need to think about the meaning of the RCs more, and do them EVERY TIME i pass through a door?

and last night, i decided to try WILDing. Which im still a little confused about in relation to WBTB but i gave it a shot. I did everything as set out in a tutorial, and i got to the point where i could feel tingling in my hands and see the odd flash of flight under my eyes. I was counting and breathing whilst thinking the statement "i am dreaming". what i found was i would just suddenly become aware of something and my attempt would fail. ie. i realised my heart was going really fast and then lost the relaxation

Also, the three images i saw were a little frightening and I heard music and voices...i wasnt terrified so that i didnt want to continue but everytime i saw something i thought 'oh, theres something' and then it would go back to my breathing. How can i watch these images without focusing on them?

You are on the right track. The only thing you need to do, is make sure you are patient with yourself. Keep trying, and eventually you'll get it. I mean, you've gotten pretty far in the WILD, so that's always a good sign. Make sure you are relaxed, and unstressed. But, persistence is really the key, because you will eventually get it, and right now, you're farther than some people would be in 5 months of trying.

alright, thank you very much. its just the things i saw...well i wasnt sure if I was dreaming..and then quickly waking back to relaxation....or if i was watching things and if it was the beginnings of a dream how do i become lucid? sorry that bit confuses me.? do i need to RC?

and is my RC door routine a good idea too, on a side note?
