Can you go into a lucid dream the first time you go to bed and go to sleep? Or do you have to already be asleep or just waking up from sleep? I have never had a lucid dream and was just wondering

Yeah but if you go to sleep first and get up like 4 hours later, WBTB and go back to bed its way esier to remember dreams and become lucid. GOODLUCK!!!

There are basically two ways to have a lucid dream : WILD (wake induced lucid dream - where you drift from waking state to sleep) and DILD (dream induced lucid dream - suddenly becoming aware that you are dreaming during a dream). WILD is for the more experienced/talented lucid dreamers, because it is more difficult, but there are some ways to make it easier (like combining it with WBTB). Attempting WILD when you firtst go to bed gives you the less chances to enter a dream and become lucidly, but it's tehnically possible.

You can have a Lucid Dream at any time, using any method.
