Thread: Does everyone eventualy LD

Hey this is like my third post today, I dont want to sound stupid but I have had 1 really good LD without trying, and a few i cant really recall, and i also went into the pattern part in front of my eyes a few times while taking a nap or sleeping in class

anyway what I am asking is, does everyone eventually LD on purpose if they keep trying hard? Or are there some people who just cant? And 1 more question, how often do you experts out there LD? Can you do it every night or is it like a once a month thing?

I'm pretty sure that all humans are capable of lucid dreaming, you just have to be determined and not give up.

I'm not a lucid expert, but I think experts lucid dream twice a week?? Or twice a month?? I think, even with experts, you have to preform a MILD or WILD or other induction technique if you want to have a lucid dream that particular night.

I think you are right, everyone has at least one lucid dream in their lives. Unfortunately, most of them kind of shrug it off an quickly forget about it.

I average 3-4 LD's a week when I am getting a normal amount of sleep. Currently, I am just averaging 2 a week because I am only sleeping about 6 hours a night.
On vacations, when I can sleep late every morning, and can dedicate more time to MILD and WILD, my rate goes way up!

Yes you'll reach that goal of high lucidity if you keep on trying. I have not been able to do that yet, but I hope I will in another year. Back when I was getting good rest I was having 2-3 per week. It took me around 5 months to reach that state.

All you have to do is find the method that works best for you....I have found this, luckily, and now am able to have an average of 3 ld's per week. This week I have had one without trying on monday, and using my method I had 4 LDs on Tuesday( YAY!!! just as shocked as you are)...of course results like this are not common(at least for me)

hi again. i was just wondering what methods do u use to lucid dreams? not that i need them im just intersted in how its done for other people, maby i do it unconcecly or something.

I suggest you read the tutorials to be informed on what methods some of us use. Sometimes it is specifically one of those methods or perhaps a combination of a couple. I, personally use a WBTB (Wake back to bed) techinique, and wake up after 5 hours of sleep. I stay up for an hour trying to gain awareness and then atthempt a WILD or, if I am aware enough, just go back to sleep knowing I will become lucid...
