Wink In which I talk about myself shamelessly.

Hi. My name is Fluffysilver, (Well, not really, because that would be quite stupid.) but I'm also known as Fluffy or Phel (long story involving World of Warcraft and boats). I'm a writer, and I hope that one day I'll find out a way to attain lucidity through my writing, whether it be writing stories about dreams in fiction, non fiction, or just writing like crazy, hoping I'll dream about it, and using that as a reality check. Woo.

My really, really big dream goal is to create a dream world by myself and to be able to return there at will. I'd better get started, except I'm a really lazy bugger and I need more motivation, which is why I joined so I can get hyped up again.

Around a year ago I was a pretty good lucid dreamer. Good meaning I kept track of my dreams every day, had good recall, and had a lucid dream at least once every fortnight.

One thing, however, involving lucid dreams I've always been great at is flying. It seemed to be a progressive thing - when I was little and was a natural LDer (or, at least, had great dream control) I was terrible at flying (which is why I just said I had great dream control). But as time went by I got better and better at it. Even though it doesn't feel as thrilling anymore - I just feel this kind of numbness on the rare occasions I have a flying dream now - I can fly really, really well. I'm so confident that until recently, I wouldn't hesitate about jumping off a building. I could do backflips and twirls in the air. Recently, however, I haven't been so confident. Whenever I jump off something in a dream I forget I could just fly, or it briefly crosses my mind and I struggle (though I admit it's more fun when I'm struggling, as it feels more real).

I've rambled about myself enough (I've forgotten something, but I think I've bored you all to sleep now). Ello.

Welcome to Dreamviews! That is an ambitious goal! Sounds like you've already got a head start, since you've had success before.

We'd love to hear about your progress, so be sure and share your stories.

      Thanks.

I'm getting it all planned out and everything. Quite excited about it, in fact. One day I will achieve it. It might take years, but we will get there!

I'm making an online DJ at the moment to record my progress. I won't keep just dreams there though - I'll have musings and plans and ramblings and... stuff. Yes.

Good idea about the journal. Are you going to plan out the world ahead of time, or wait and see what develops? Or maybe a little of both?

      Welcome to Dream Views Fluffy!

There are a couple of dreams/people I would like to revisit and it would be great if that were possible. I just keep forgetting to make that a priority when I become lucid.. but you've re-sparked my desire!

I look forward to reading about your dreams!

Good luck remembering! My lucid dreams, when I still had them, tended to sabotage me every time I went somewhere. This time I just aim to let stuff happen until I get better at dream control.

Moonbeam, I'm not really sure. I've already got a world developed for my stories, and my enthusiam for it has kinda died recently. Perhaps I could incubate some dreams about and see where it goes from there. I'd like to dream about it somewhat before I make up another world, in any case, if that's what I end up doing.
