      Hello guys, new here.

Hi im new here and new to lucid dreaming(i almost had one last night, wich im going to tell u about it in a min)
      first.
My name is Guillermo im 16, from Argentina(so my english is not perfect, sry if i have bad grammar), im really intrested in Lucid Dreaming.

I'm trying using FILD technique. last night i almost had one, or i had.
When i woke up after a dream i rembered some part of it, then i did the techinque, 10-20 seconds, tried to do a RC, didnt work, so i stoped doing it, tryed again in a few mins, nothing happened, so i slept a bit longer, i had another dream and woke up(but i don't remember much about that dream).
After that i tried once, nothing happened, but the second time, i waited 10-20 seconds again, my mind was clear, then i felt something weird, i don't know, like i didnt felt anything i just felt my fingers moving, i did an RC(the nose thing) and i was able to breath. but as soon as i breath i woke up cuz of the surprise, i was lucid for just a sec or less. i actually felt good(for what i have read ppl get frustrated when that happens), i felt good because i knew i was getting closer to have a good lucid dream.

Well thats my story so far .

oh and i have a question.
are FAs common? im kinda scared about them, i mean thinking ur awake and something scary happens...

P.S: i really like the forums, nice community here ^^

Welcome on board!!! Argentina huh? *Seeker sticks another pin in the map*

False awakenings happen and most people will probably have at least a few in their life times. They are nothing to be afraid of however, please be sure to perform a reality check to make sure it is a false awakening before trying anything dangerous.

Bakuryu, welcome to Dream Views and congratulations on your lucid dream! I say "congratulations" as any lucid dream (no matter how short) is something to celebrate!

Please pull up a chair and have a look around!

You may wish to review the Newbie Zone Guide for helpful information about this site:
      http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=36723

You may also wish to check out the Tutorials forum which contains information on the various lucid dreaming techniques: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...splay.php?f=25.

If you should have any questions, please ask and we'll do our best to get you answers!

P.S., Don't let FAs scare you away from lucid dreaming.. not everyone has them and, if so, they're not always frightening. Just be confident in the fact that nothing can physically harm you.

I once attained lucidity from a false awakening itself.

Heres the jig: I woke up, went and had breakfast then woke up again.

during the false awakenings breakfast i recall suddenly thinking hey, i'm dreaming! But that was before i knew about LD's, i wish i could just get them any time i want now.

For me, FAs have become almost standard after a LD lately. I've had probably 5 good lucid nights this month, and every single one of them ended in a FA where I had to start looking for a pen to write down my dream. Kind of funny, actually.

I wouldn't be scared of them at all. They generally turn out to be of a more or less mundane nature. At least they do for me.
