Haha, has this happened to you before?

Recently I've been doing my RCs during the day everytime I remember, and it's becoming habbit. Last night in my dream I was in a situation telling my friend about how to have an LD, and I was talking about RCs. I actually did one, and it worked, but only as a demonstration to my friend, as if I thought I was still in reality.

Damn, that was close this time!

I did exactly this while talking to someone in a dream, but the check failed and I became lucid. We both started laughing at the irony.

Haha, I always talk about lucid dreams in my dream. I have even dreamed of posting on this forum. That's a good sign though, and you will become lucid soon =). Just keep practicing

I missed a obvious dream sign last night. I saw one of my friends get into his silver honda. Right after he pulled away from the curb it morphed into a dark green chevy lumina, just like mine. All I could think was "??? when the hell did he get a new car?". Oh dear god, yes, our dream selves can be very stupid lol. I think I need to increase my reality check frequency, someone might as well have slapped me in the face and yelled THIS IS A DREAM. And In that dream I probably would have just stood their lol.

Once I dreamed that a burgeler robbed my house, and because of that I got cancer, and I still didn't become lucid! I hate myself in dreams!

The very worst has happened to me though. A few weeks ago, i had a dream in which i was sucking horribly at a sport in front of an audience and i told myself that it didn't matter because i was dreaming and everyone else was created by my subconscious so i shouldn't get embarrassed. Lo and behold, i didn't become lucid...

Yeah, once a DC said I was in the line of lucidity and I didn't catch on... I was so mad when I woke up!

      looooool

      Mine was really funny

it was like, I was in a dream, and for some reason I couldn't speak nor scream. No matter how much I triec, I couldn't (this happens sometimes to me in dreams, especially when I MUST say something REALLY important - it drives me mad grrrrrrrrrrrrrr)

anyway, when I realized I couldn't scream nor speak, I thought to myself "if I am not able to speak in the future, it might be a dream sign"

      and no lucidity lol

You are supposed to genuinley try to see if it is a possibility if you are dreaming, and not just going through the motions. And due to that, you may have not genuinley checked that you were dreaming in your dream, and took it for granite that you were awake. This is just an idea.

I've explained LDs to my friends too in dreams. I told them that you become lucid by doing RCs in dreams, but there's no point in doing it now because we're not dreaming .

Done that too, I was going to a bus stop, realized I forgot my pass. But then I said, it doesn't matter, I'm dreaming but didn't become lucid. It's really frustrating!!!

Haha, yeah I get that, when I'm really scared and my throat closes up. I've actually had that so many times that I don't know how I didn't figure out I was dreaming

Alright, I'm really starting to worry that I'll never ever LD.

Last night, I had a dream where I lived in an area called YouTube. I was wiping my butt in public (while some hot girl I knew walked by ), some weird guy who's looks kept changing was out to kill me, I somehow got my hands on an assault rifle, and later, randomly, I was doing a music essay... on the Lua programming language...

Seriously, it's like one side of my brain is saying "Look, you dreaming! Cmon, surely you must think it's a dream!!" and the other is too stupid to understand

That's exactly what is happening... When you're asleep, your logical side of the brain is asleep. Dreaming=no logic. Otherwise every dream would be lucid. You'd see something strange, and instantly realize you're dreaming.

Well Done!! If you have achieved that already it just shows that you can achieve lucidity in future dreams! Keep on doing them RC's

Reminds me of the time where a particular Dream character was in my dreams for about a month EVERY time they'd trick me on whether or not I'm lucid dreaming.

I'm in a car chase, I ask if I'm dreaming they say no and I see an elephant running down the block, I basically said "I guess I'm not" that was during the era where I was getting a lot of 3rd person dreams (Hard to explain but think of it as if you were a subconscious mind, where you could talk internally but so can the person's actualy conscious mind)

The funniest ones have to be when I do the nose reality check and I wonder whether or not I'm breathing.:p I remember one time I don't even think I breathed and so I told myself "O this is real" about 2 minutes later I just say out of the blue "Hold up! I'm dreaming!" and for a good two minutes I'm sitting there thinking about how I almost tricked myself and why I couldn't breath and then walked around.
