Hi everyone.
Hi, I just signed up for this forum.
My interest in LDs was sparked just 2 nights ago out of nowhere...I was bored, and my friend was talking about reading an article about some band where a member had constant nightmares but learned to have LDs to conquer it.
I know I have dreams every night, but I only remember specific scenes and/or feelings from them, and I can almost never control anything I do in my dreams. Is that normal?
As for LDs, I'm pretty sure I had them when I was younger, I just never really thought about them til now. I do remember one very clearly.
When I was younger, I was sleeping on the couch and woke up within my dream and just knew that I was in a dream. I walked around my house and it was empty, and I felt bored and tried to wake up.
But I couldn't.
I remember screaming "WAKE UP!!" for like a long time before I actually did.
Anyway, I hope I can learn to have LDs as much as I want through talking to people here.

I have no clue what band my friend was talking about, but yes, Sublime IS an awesome band.
I've just been asking a lot of my friends how often they have lucid dreams, and everyone seems to have a lot more than me.
It seems I'm just one of those people that are naturally disposed to never lucid dream.

All your friends LD? That's rare. Don't worry about it either. If you try you will achieve. Everyone can lucid dream.

It is pretty awesome that all your friends LD and talk about it. Most people really don't pay much attention to their dreams nor care about controlling them. You paired up with the right bunch!
