Hi, I'm AtxAxLoss. This is my very first post.

I never remember my dreams, and last night I had this crazy dream that inspired me to improve my dream recall. I Googled "how to dream," and here I am.

Here's my crazy dream, as posted on another message board.

Last night brought me the first lengthy dream I had in a long, long time. It began with me waking up and already knowing the events that would unfold that day, namely that my ex-best friends father would die of a heart attack unless I did something to stop it. I was at his house, trying to warn him that he was in danger of getting a heart attack, but he didn't listen to me. He was being a tough guy, like he was impervious to death. He donned many large animal suits and flopped and wiggled around on the ground in them, despite my warnings that he would get a heart attack doing such things on such a hot day. Over the course of the dream, he became hideously fat, and his body would occasionally give out. He'd fall to the ground, with his gigantic unsightly man tits jiggling thereafter, leading me to believe he was dead. However, he didn't seem to die. My numerous warnings eventually annoyed him, and he began to chase me around the house. I climbed out of one window and into another to try and get away from him, and I ended up in a room filled with evidence that revealed to me that he was in the mafia! I rushed out of the house, and before I knew it, his henchmen were climbing over the fences to kill me. I ran to the outside basement door of the house where a tribe of demon children came to my aid and blew the henchmen away with their machine guns. I made it into the basement and traveled miles down into the depths of a tomb where I learned to breathe underwater, among other things. With my newfound powers, I took an elevator up to an office building and struck back at the henchmen, battling them with my swords. However, at some point in my dream, everything I was doing became a video game, and I critiqued it on the fact that there was a child playing with a cat who paid no attention to the brutal violence going on around them.

      Welcome to Dreamviews AtxAxLoss!

Interesting dream. If you need help remembering your dreams, its a very good idea to start a Dream Journal. We have a forum just for that

There is a large wealth of information here, and we have many knowledgeable members here who would be more than happy to help. There are also the many Dream Guides, noted by their Green Names, who can help you get acquainted with the site and the world of dreaming.

Contrary to Anonymous arrogantly calling himself the resident expert..... there are many, many knowledgeable members here, many who have been not only on the subject of Dreaming and LDing for a large number of years, but the site as well.

You'll find we have a very open and friendly community that would be happy to assist you with whatever you need.

That said, if you have any questions ask any of our many dream guides, members such as myself or Anonymous here.... or just simply ask on the boards, its what there here for!

      Enjoy your stay at Dreamviews.

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys. Last new message board I tried out wasn't exactly a cozy place.

My dream recall is usually terrible, mainly because I have terrible sleep patterns. Thanks for the suggestions about the dream journal. I actually have an empty composition notebook with no particular usage that's perfect for the job.

As long as I'm posting dreams, here's two I posted in another forum. They're the only two lucid dreams I had. They're from way back when I was kid. The first one was probably when I was around 8-10 years old, and the second was maybe 6-7.

The first one took place in my cousin's back yard. I suddenly realized I was in a dream, and I thought to myself, "Well since I'm dreaming, I bet it'd be cool to have one of those laser blasters like Han Solo." So I conjured one up and started shooting at some Stormtroopers that came out of nowhere. I eventually ran out of ammunition and it was useless. Couldn't even conjure up some more.

My other dream that involved an awareness of my being in a dream started with my parents trying to kill me. I used to have dreams like that all the time when I was a kid, so I became aware I was dreaming at that point. I managed to escape and ran into a nearby Caldor's. I couldn't wake up from my dream, so I asked Jeff Goldblum for help since he happened to be shopping there at the time. He decided to help me get out of my dream since he didn't like me and wanted me to go away. He grabbed my face and rubbed my eyes really hard, which I always did myself when I wanted to get out of a dream. It didn't work though, and I appeared in my cousin's backyard (Same cousins from the first dream, but their old house.) They were in the backyard and I decided to play with them since they were there. However, it occurred to us that we were playing in poison ivy, so I ran headfirst into a tree and killed myself.
