      Stupid question time! Funny eyelids...

When I try to stay conscious while sleeping, or sometimes when I'm just taking a while to sleep, my eyelids feel funny ... like I strained my eyelid muscles. Does that make sense at all? Maybe I'm just not used to heavy eyelids, but whenever I get that feeling, I generally open my eyes to get rid of the discomfort. Do I need to excercise my eyelids more or does this happen to other people?

I don't know how to combat it all that well, but last night while attempting SP my left eyelid started spazzing uncontrollably until i forced myself to sit up.

Was that part of SP? Doubt it.

Yeah I've sometimes had spazzy eyelids. Feels really weird. I doubt you can do anything about it. How often does this happen to you?

No that's not it. This is happening when we are awake. Plus you wouldn't be able to feel them move like that if you were in REM.

I think you are over estimating the intelligence of this question. My eyelids aren't really spazzing, just uncomfortable. You know how your body gets uncomfortable so you turn over in bed? Its like that. They feel uncomfortable so I open and close them again.

I do this too and it's been happeneing to me for about the past two nights. My eyelids feel like they want to open on their own and im trying to fight it. It feels rather weird and sort of uncomfortable.

Ah that's weird then? I've never experienced this. Maybe it's psychological?
