problem with "the lucid effect" lol

hi i'm new and need a lil help with "the lucid effect" . well this is the night i found out about lucid dreaming and well i've tried it before without knowing what i was doing. well when i was dreaming(this was a long time ago like when i was 12) i saw something that made me think this is probably a dream and so i did something that would be bad in reality. so i found out that i was asleep and so a few seconds later i woke up without being able to do what i wanted it made me feel kinda sad but i didn't really know what i was missing until now. and so i never really tried to prove i was asleep i jus sometimes (like once a year) i'd know im asleep. so sometimes i'd be able to do what i wanted but a little time i got to do that stuff, i read about forcing the ability or whatever and i guess it was that, so can someone help me? also i gotta add that it wasn't as clear as everyone says. it was like jus most of the middle of what i was looking at was clear. like on tv and stuff.

You can increase clarity in your lucid dreams quite easily. Either shout, "Clarity!" or rub your hands togethor. There are more techniques but I can't remember them. Oh and welcome to the forum.
