      one more question..(Again)

I cant seem to understand if its a dream or not.. even if i know that im going to dream before i sleep... becouse when im dreaming.. its like im not able to think, its just actions without control.. like its not me dreaming.. its my sub-consious..

any tips? my dream signs so far hasnt helped that much..
and yes i am doing a dream journal just not online, but it doesn't seem to improve anything.. only the capability to remember dreams ive already written down..

I think I can speak for many people when I say that we are somewhat stupider in our non-lucid dreams (I think it has to do with certain parts of our brain that are shut down while we sleep), therefore most of our dream actions are based on impulse and common sense rather than rational thinking. That's why most DILD techniques (reality checks, repeating stuff before falling asleep,...) are meant to make us start thinking while we dream, so that we can realise that we are dreaming through deductive reasoning and proceed on controlling the dream.

I find that the most effective ways to get myself to think in my dreams are to flood my mind with thoughts about dreaming and to question reality for no specific reason during the day. Even then though, DILDs remain unpredictable at best, that's why I'm learning the WILD technique .
