I had my first LD the other night (since I've started trying to have them), and mine felt a lot like yours. I knew I was dreaming, but I couldn't quite get past that stage. Even so, the feeling is fantastic! |

Well last night I became somewhat lucid. I was dreaming that I was running in a huge grass field and I suddenly stopped and said to myself "I am dreaming. At that moment everything became so much clearer but it only lasted a few seconds until it faded back to normal. I said it again and the same thing happened. I then got the idea to look at both of my hands. The weird thing was that when I looked at both of my hands they looked perfectly normal. So, once again I said "I am dreaming" and again the scene went super clear and faded back to dull again. I then decided to try rubbing my hands together but as soon as I did it everythinng went blank. I could still feel my hands rubbing together and I also felt these weird vibrations. At that point I woke up. Even though it didn't last for a very long time it felt great. |

LD Counter (as of 07.25.07) = 5 (2 WILDs)
Short-term goal: Recall three full dreams a night for a full week.
Long-term goal: Have three LDs per week for one month.
Longer-term goal: Have one six-hour LD every night! (Shooting too high? We'll see.)
Waking life goal: Round up some NPSG equipment to study my own sleep patterns.
A toast to your first Lucid dream. I remember my first lucid and it was similar only reverse. When I figured out that I was dreaming and changed the scene things got dim. Any way congrats and keep it up. |
