uh, sorry new intro.
Mrs. Jones, age 15
I'm sure that:
-I've experienced more than one lucid dream before.
-almost all these occurred before the age of 12.
-almost all these were nightmares.
-I had conceived a way to consciously, while dreaming, rid myself of the nightmares.
-I've learned of lucid dreaming 3 years ago and (half-heartedly) tried to intentionally induce them.
-I haven't had any since.
-Even so, I've come pretty close. Once I was able to consciously think, "I'm dreaming" while dreaming, but wasn't able to convince my dream self. I didn't have that lucid feeling.
-something like that.
Questions:
-Is it because I stopped having nightmares that I have no more lucid dreams, or
-is it because I've deliberatly tried to induce them that I have no more lucid dreams?
-Are there different levels of lucidity? Does semi-lucidity count?
-In that near-lucid dream, was I semi-lucid, or was I fully lucid for only a moment? Or were my conscious and my dream self unable to merge?
Also:
-I'm pretty sure I have above average dream-recall skills.
-I think I seem confused.
-Sometimes while I'm laying in bed to sleep, I think I'm awake, but at the same time, I start walking in my mind, like a half-dream, then after that first or second step*, I jerk awake, feeling nothing beneath my feet ('cos I'm laying down, horizontal), even though I was only thinking of walking, not actually doing it. I thought I was awake, then I woke up! I think some might see this as my astral projection leaving my body while I sleep or something, but I don't know. Because sometimes I see a sidewalk.
*I feel as though I've been walking a little longer though.
