      Question SP+FLID Question

Do you not experience SP during a FILD? I have been reading about it and it seems quite bizaar and I really don't feel like experiencing it lol. Does it occur because your brain still has that DMT (maybe its DTM) drug flowing and you're awake so its like you're awake but under a super psychadelic (sp?). It just seems weird thats if its a bad SP then its always bad, barney is never standing beside your bed or anything nice like that lol. Also what if you just had your covers over your head, you wouldn't see the halucinations or just close your eyes, has anyone experimented with this in a lite room, I wonder if it would be better?

thats a good question because i have been wondering the same thing for a while. they say during SP that you can control your eyes so maybe you can just close them unless the hallucinations are tactile or there are sounds...dunno
If you're still alive prove it! Think!

Well, first SP is not necessarily related to FILD. It can happen during any WILD ( FILD is a type of WILD ) or even without using any technique. Secondly during SP you may or may not experience any hallucinations. SP simply means that your body is paralyzed during a transition state between sleep and wakefulness.
What you are talking about is called Hypnogogic Imagery, ( HI ) which may accompany a SP.
Sleep paralysis probably happens as a protective measure, so that you will not act your dreams in real life and wake your self or possibly injure your self.
Why does the hallucinations happen? I don't know. I think this is still a mystery, just as dreams themselves are a mystery.
Another thing I'd like to point out is that the HI is not always bad. It could be abstract or funny. But I think what makes it scary is that you are not fully asleep, and so the hallucinations really feel like they are happening in real life.

In any case, don't be scared of the HI, and not even of SP!
It is not that bad, and it something that you need to go through when you try to do WILD, which is very worth while.
