      New PSGT here...

      Hello! My name is Michael, and I'm a polysomnologist at a sleep lab in a hospital in Central IL.

      I'm new to the field and I'm very excited about it, so I'm here to learn more about sleep in general, and to expand my boundaries.

      Probably won't be posting a lot, but I'll be "lurking" and learning.

      I live by Peoria and work SW of here. How about you? The 'Burbs are only like 1.5-2.5 hrs from here, depending on which area you're in...

      Welcome! It's nice to have some one here who studies sleep issues for a living. So, are you aware of whether dolphins are known to dream or not? Odd question, I know, but we were discussing that in this topic.

      Feel free to chime in when we say stupid things that contradicts actual research knowledge. And, as others have said, it's nice to have you here.

      LOL! We'll see. I'm still very new to the field, but I'm digging in with both hands as deep as I can get. I'm wanting to take the registration as soon as it's available to me (there's a waiting period).

      I'll be researching the different types of dreams you guys are interested in here, and seeing how that relates to clinical sleep stages, restorative sleep, REM, etc, and if I come across anything interesting, I'll post it.

      I'll check on that dolphin question, too. Now I'm interested, lol!
