To be honest, it can vary from person to person. Sometimes it could take a few days, sometimes it could take a month or upwards; some people can even do it naturally. It took me 3 weeks after I started trying to get a successful LD, but it was well worth it.

The important thing is not to give up. You'll get a LD if you persist.

Indeed. For me it took 3 months before I had my first one. Just keep your motivation up, and do not force yourself to be motivated either, so if you feel that you're getting bored, simply choose not to think of lucid dreaming at all for a week.

As the others above me have said, it may take ages for some, you may get lucky and have one tonight, i mean its different for everyone, i've been learning and have had 9 lucid dreams over the course of a year, not very good in my eyes, there are people worse of than me, but there are also alot more people that have regular lucid dreams, its not too hard to lucid dream, it just depends on how you work in a way, if your more stressed you may find it harder, if you don't sleep as much you may find it harder, its different for everyone. Just try your best and i'm sure success will be waiting just round the corner for you

Yeah depends on the person, and their open-mindedness and their dedication.

I have written a tutorial for getting lucid, if you have the time read it, see what you think, the link is in my signature

Seems vary for each person, I've tried for about 2 weeks and haven't got any lds :-(
But I can recall at least 2-3 of dreams everyday, that makes me feel I can't give up yet

Fantastic, good dream recall is a must for LDing. After all, you'll want to remember them after the fact ! You're on te right track...

Ive just recently (last week) found out that lucid dreaming can be controlled --- I havent used any suggested techniques (well I sort of used a modified version of WILDing) and in one night (my first night telling myself as I lay in bed "I am going to have a lucid dream") I was able to recall SIX dreams over THREE different periods... some short and some seemingly VERY long (approx 6 hours)... the next night I was only able to recall one dream but I was lucid during it... It wasnt very vivid but did involve me making out with a girl.... I was trying to concentrate on my surroundings but found myself concentrating on her and I faded out (partially because I was worrying/thinking about fading out too much)...

My point is that I think dream recall/lucid dreaming may be linked to intelligence/IQ... I say this because I am a very smart individual with a very high IQ... and I was able to LD the first night I actually tryed it in a controlled, professional way. I am not saying that people with lower IQs than me will not be able to LD as good/as often; all I am saying is that perhaps smarter people will be able to start having lucid dreams sooner than people with inferior intelligences. Most people on this board are intelligent individuals, because LDing is a heavier and harder topic than that of video games or music, but there will always be smarter people than you, and all I am saying is that these people are off to a better start.

To answer your question: "How hard is it to LD?" --- It is different for everyone depending on IQ.
      Preferred RC: Nose Breathing
Lucid Aids: B6 Supplement (50 mg), Melatonin (3 mg), dairy products

I became Lucid the first night I tried! I don't really consider myself to have any super IQ. For me it was pure determination to make it happen that night that did it.
