Thanks for all your replies guys.. & I did realize its lot tougher than I thought. I'll try to follow more of your advices in future.
I've now created a DJ and have read more tutorials. I've increased frequency of RCs in real life like while I'm with friends and while doing other regular tasks too. I guess remembering to have a RC while dreaming is the hardest part. Yester night I dreamt I was He-Man and Arnold Schwarzenegger - both at the same time and had wife & kids.. but all I'm doing was giving my family a lecture on inner strength and self confidence !! I mean, come on !!
But anyways, I guess my dreams reflect my boring life...
Strangest part was I was someone else & it felt completely normal ! I was cursing myself in the morning for not having realized .. !
So I guess it’s just a matter of time and patience (& inner strength & self confidence lol)...
er.. And there's a 'Task of the month' section .! Boy that must need some heavy experience in LDing. I hope I'll be able to participate someday

As you said, your dreams reflect your life. You said your life was boring, and so were your dreams. The same thing goes for RCs. You RC a lot in real life, and it should be reflected in your dreams. It can take time though.
And we've all had incredibly stupid missed lucid oppurtunities. Our dreams are crazy, and we still don't get lucid . See the "Stupidest Ways You've Missed Getting Lucid" thread.

Well thats natural. You should do what Micheal and others have suggested and start a dream journal, which will helps quite a bit. (Strange though isnt it, all your doing is writing down your dreams =/). You might try the Straight Back to Bed method, that works 100% of the time for me in term of lucid dreaming, also do RC's frequently in real life until you find yourself doing them without truly giving it thought.
Good Luck and Live long + Prosper .

You were he-man/Arnold Schwarzenegger and didn't realize it!?!?!

Lol j/k, this is all too common, for me at least. I hate it so much when strange things happen and I dont do a RC, or when I do a RC in a dream and it fails (like having 30 fingers) but it all seems so normal at the time!!!

This isn't a "boring dream" according to your subconscious even though it seems like it to you. This is one of the things that helps writing down in your dream journal, because it increases your chances for recognizing a dream next time something similar happens. Like maybe you will be superman, but you will realize "hey i was arnold once, wtf is going on", freak out for a sec, then realize your dreaming. Thats just an example though, you know what I mean.

Edit: Another thing I believe helps is sharing your dream with someone in person. If you have someone you can talk to in person about your dreams, do it.
