I've only recently had my first lucid dream and I've been telling myself before bed to look out for dream signs and be aware of my surroundings etc and make sure to distinguish that it is a dream. But in real life I'm a very calm person calmer than most probably and when having a dream it just goes by usually I don't really care even if something is not right I let it pass by and just have the dream and wake up. Should I just keep making dream journal notes or are there other methods of achieving lucidity more and practicing it? |

I believe it takes time. Keep doing what you are doing and read up on it more, and if it still won't work than try something else. |

it also depends on your state of mind, and the things going through your body. |

Follow all of the links Qwinsepia posted, and always keep a positive attitude. Never have a doubt that a technique will work, never tell yourself that you're on a dry spell, etc. |

well mostly the things which affect lucid dreaming are psychoactive subsances.... i've found the most drastic effects take place after drinking alcohol, smoking hashish, taking mushrooms, lsa, or peyote. Salvia is a GREAT enhancers for lucid dreaming, and almost ALWAYS after u smoke that stuff, ull have vivid lucidity for about a week after, in your dreams. |

Yes you should always keep a dream journal, and the only thing that can make you lucid more often for sure is practice, but you may want to try some of the subliminal messages or taking b6. |
