WILD progress!! (plus a couple of questions)

Ok, both very happy and very annoyed after what happened last night

I had spent about 20 minutes memorizing what had to be done to WILD. I then climbed into bed, set my alarm for 4:30 (to try to WBTB) and began to relax into a comfortable place. I thought "well i cant hurt to practice the WILD technique" and so i started to do it. I just concentrated on my breathing. As i relaxed myself more and more, i begans to see the swimming colours that people often mention.

Now this is the part that both really annoys me, and exites me at the same time. I think i managed to reach a state of sleep paralysis (odd tingling sensation, couldnt move my limbs?). I also started to see clear, and i mean very clear images. However, I think i got too exited every time i saw one of these images, because the clear picture i had been seeing disappeared, and as i got more and more frustrated, i realised i had opened my eyes.

When i think about it now, i probably just got over-exited, but its still very annoying to have gotten so far in one attempt and be knocked back to the start. Also, is it a good or bad thing that all of this happened on the space of about 20-25 minutes? Should it take longer than this, or shorter?

Can anyone give me any advice on how to carry on after i've reached the stage i got to? Thank you for reading

First of all, welcome to Dreamviews!

You seemed to go pretty far for a first attempt. Yes, you were probably facing the beggining of Sleep Paralysis.

The images you saw are the hallucinaitons that will then compose a dream. I risk saying that you indeed got overexcited. But there's always a second chance

Best of luck on your WILDs. There's not much else you can do, but keep your relaxed mind and wait until you believe to be in full sleep paralysis. When so, you should just move, even if you believe it will ruin your attempt: high chances are you'll just move your dream body

For advice, check the tutorials: they exlain all that's needed for a WILD.

Finally, if you have any other questions, shoot!
