      Thanks!

A big thanks to everyone for all of the warm welcomes! Just to update....still not lucid. I do think i got pretty close two nights ago. As i was falling asleep i kept repeating to myself 'I will remember I am dreaming'. Just as i fell asleep i think i got too excited because before anything happened i woke up. Its progress though! I think....lol! Well, all i can do is keep trying!

      Another Update

Just another update for anyone interested. Last night I was actually able to induce sleep paralysis for the first time by repeating a sentence as i was falling asleep. My prediction from my original post was VERY wrong. The initial panic was still there(and probably always will be) but i managed to calm myself down and tried to ready myself for an LD. After a few seconds, however, i began to hallucinate! I have NEVER hallucinated during SP (I guess because i always managed to break it in time). It was just a face, not a head, floating towards me. I panicked. I remember thinking "Oh hell no. Lucid is not worth this" so i forced myself out of it. But i really do think its worth it! i was just scared. Now i regret breaking it.

      Congratulations on entering SP!
You're not alone with saying that LD isn't worth it. I've had hallucinations of footsteps, creaking doors, and the feeling of being hit by a truck . I backed out every time.
Next time try thinking pleasant thoughts during the HI, it might help.
