Hi,

Ever since I can remember I have always had Lucid Dreams, all I knew was that they were cool and always in full color. I just did not know the term Lucid Dreams.

As I grew older they would come and go from time to time. Then 10 years ago they started coming back and very intense and sometimes disturbing, they just are not as cool as they were when I 16 and younger. I would not say they are nightmares. It got to a point I would quit sleeping as much because I did not want to dream any more. I started preoccupying myself so that I would only get a few hours of sleep. One thing led to another and I started self medicating with alcohol. Now that I am 36 I have decided that I am drinking way to much. I dont get drunk all the time, just enough to disrupt my sleep. Well it worked, but I cant keep drinking that much every night. So, I have cut the drinking out and the dreams are back, and crazier than ever. Just last night I was asleep but totally aware of every sound, every movement, and then all of a sudden this guy in a white t-shirt and blue jeans came running up the stairs and into my bedroom. At that point I really woke up. If these dreams were a little more relaxing I would enjoy them like I used to when I was younger. Any suggestions on where to start to either quit having them all together or change the intensity of them. I cant do this every night.
