      My dreams are like movies

I've known about lucid dreaming for a while and even heard about spinning and such. I've become lucid in my dreams many times, but the longest I was able to maintain control was about 30 seconds. It usually lasts less time than that.

I describe the feeling of losing control like swimming upstream until getting tired and letting myself drift again. Controlling dreams is serious effort.

I think the problem is with HOW I dream. Everything is in 3rd person. I see myself as a character in a TV show or a movie. I don't know if I've ever had a dream that felt real enough that later I had to remind myself that it was a dream an not reality. In other words, my dreams are so fake that it's easy to tell after I'm awake.

Has anyone else ever had this kind of issue?

Only now and then. If you want a way to get lucids and stop yourself doing that, I recommend trying visualisation of yourself in 1st person, or reading some of the VILD tutorials in the tutorials section.

Oh. Hell i know, it is something i have lots of time. Maybe its becouse you and I played a lot of computer games. And we know, that manipulating the game makes you achieve what you wish. In this dreams, we are just passive observers. We look at whats going on, and sometimes it happenes, that we are sucked into the dream. It often happened to me, that dream beginned that way and ended in 1.st person somehow.

This dreams are less vivid. And seem just like constructs which dont feel real, just as if we would force the dream to come, to move. I know that. But did you observe what you did last day. Maybe that could answer your question. Try to study the dreams and maybe this will sound crazy, but just relax...

      Enjoyed answering
