Hello everyone I'm new here, and really excited. I know i've had lucid dreams in the past-but i'm pretty sure i forgot i was dreaming right away.Well i've been trying to have lucid dreams since Nov 13, which is when i stumbled onto this site and that night i started my dream journal. I've known about lucid dreaming for years because my dad is(or was) able to do it often, but i thought you either could or couldn't lucid dream, I never knew it was learnable. So I've tried WILDing 4 or 5 times so far, and only the 1st time was the farthest i got-where my legs were tingling and i could feel my heart then my head pounding, but then it went away. All the times i've tried WILDing after that have been mostly failures because i only get as far as the tingling, and its not from lacki of impatience because each attempt lasted 45 min to over an hour. So am i too excited, like too awake, why cant i get as far anymore??? Then when i do relaxation techniques or something(separate from wilding), when i start dreaming, like when you're imaginations turn into dreams-a few seconds into them i realize they are dreams so i wake right away-thius has happened at least 5 times. Well last night i was dreaming and out of the blue i realize i'm dreaming, then i think "oh no, i'm gonna wake up" so i spin(i read it keeps you dreaming) around, and i don't wake up, then i decide to change the setting and thats all i remember. So either i entirely for got i was dreaming a few seconds latrer or i just dont remember tyhe rest of the dream. So like how do you prevent yourself from forgetting you're dreaming right away??? I'm trying to do reality checks everytime i use a door(i read a post from someone here), but since i've done that theres been a very noticable decrease in doors in my dreams, lol, any help??? And i appreciate any advice |

Persistent. That's the word which counts here. I fully agree with clairity. It is a long term run. Lucid dreaming has so many aspects which can be researched, but if you start too fast, you will soon find yourself withouth proper base to build upon. So explore gently and you will get there. |

There is no real-life, there is only AFK.
Hey telaranrhiod walker! Welcome. I see you're a Wheel of Time fan, and Tel'aran'rhiod was the first thing I thought of when I heard about lucid dreaming as well. |
