All this time I thought I was a wierdo!

Through out my life, I have experienced several very intense Lucid dreams where dream control was very proficient. Most of the dreams were based around sexual content where I new it was a dream and could do absolutely anything. Although the feeling was thrilling, I was a little worried that this was abnormal. I had never told anyone of this until I discovred LD. Have any of you had complete control of sexual situations in your dreams?

First off, let me welcome you to DV skicolorado!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I'm definitely the right person to reply to you first, hehe. You are DEFINITELY not abnormal, not in the least. Many people experiment sexually in their LDs, myself included. I find that sexual LDs are the ones where I have the most control. They're also more frequent, intensely vivid, and last longer than other LDs. But it doesn't mean you can't try other things. However I truly understand the motivation behind LDs of sexual content, so I say why not go for it .

Also, just want to let you know that if you have questions of any kind, you can email or PM me anytime. And in case you're not aware, we have an "Adoptions" forum, where you can post an "adopt me" profile, only if you desire to have an older member show you the ropes as it were. Here's the link:

Hiya skicolorado, Welcome to dream views.

You are defiantly not a werido! There are many people who have sexual based dreams, Me included. Some of us were actually talking about it in another thread recently. So there are may on the board that have the same experiences.

      http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5184

Do you find that you have LD's about other subjects too? I think that if it only consists of that one activity then like Ophelia said... "why not go for it?" Anyway there is no reason to keep your dreams clean. After all they are your dream you can do what you want. Have fun and I hope you enjoy our community.

I have been trying really hard to LD but nothing lately.

I think I have been trying to hard to LD. I usually sleep pretty good but last night I was concentrating on inducing a LD that I think I kept myself up.

Question: I pressume that most people who are into LD have an above average level of dreams or dream recalls. I have noticed that after a night of intense dreams, my eyes and eye-lids tend to be really worn out.
Do you guys experience this as well or is it just me. I think that it must be incorporated with my REM cycles.

      Laters.

I am usually more successful with LDs when I don't pressure myself, so it is possible you were trying too hard. If you already know the techniques, you can just relax now. Let the information absorb into your brain. Other things that help me also are getting enough sleep, and keeping a dream journal. I don't get the tired eyes thing though...whew! those must have been some intense dreams!!

      Hope that helped!

Anybody else have this problem? It's the second time I've heard about it here at DV. Worn out eyes from intensely vivid dreams, lucid or otherwise?

I've never experienced that. In my most vivid LD's I always awake refreshed! All of me. I have noticed though that while in LDs my eyes feel 'wierd', but I alway just thought that was because they were not getting dried out because my lids were closed.

I never said WELCOME... so WELCOME, secondly... I don't get sore eyes or anything but when I do take control in my LD's I feel really tired the next day and I feel like I didn't really sleep. But that is me and I am an odd one.

Hehe @ Ophelia going on topic

About the dry eyes... I do get this from time to time.
But in two ways - either tips of my eyelids are dry and sore, or the muscles in my eyes are strained.

The sore eyelids seems to be when I have very 'thin' dreams and trying to stabilise it the whole time. Im guessing Im so close to being awake, and trying so hard that my eyes flutter a little. That causes the dryness.

The strained muscles - I noticed that in a very strenuous lucid dream, I use that 'third eye' area a lot more, and can feel my eyes pulling toward it. This is actually fairly strenuous on the muscles if you do it for a long time.

      Thats my guesses anyway...
