      New

      Hello everyone!

I am new to LDs and am very eager to have my first. As you probably see, I am also a noob to this site.

Well, I am curious of a few things.

As i said in a different post, i dont quite understand the concept of dream journals. How can you remember later dreams by writing down old ones?

When I am dreaming (i rarely remember them) i cannot RC because i have literally no control over what i do in my dreams.

      Thanks

Ok... if you remember a dream, say, once a week, but you always write it down, and focus on the dream for a few minutes while writing it down, then you effectively program your brain to remember dreams. You'll remember more and more, if you keep writing them down.

Also, the point of the RC is to do it so often that you just do it in dreams as well as in real life. Do one now. Do one again in a minute. Try to to do them as often as possible, and you will start remembering to do them in dreams as well.

Also, as Grod said in the other thread, check the tutorials

      oh and one more thing:

I am a very self-conscious person, and am scared to keep a dream journal because someone might find it. Are there any like password-protected online journals that do not share my entries with others?

I feel the same way about keeping my journal private, so I use a small pad that fits in my back pocket and I keep it with me always.. A lot of the time throughout the day at work and whatnot I'll remember parts of my dreams and write them down quick.

Welcome and congrats on already having your first LD!!

Keeping a notepad with you during the day is an EXCELLENT idea. I do the same, and I like to take it one step further by also noting what it was in the moment that "randomly" reminded of a part of my dream..
