Thread: Hi

Hi all, i'm new here;

i had what i THINK was a lucid dream last night. i don't usually remember my dreams, but i had a few last night. i'll start with the standard dreams i remember.

so, i dreamt i was in a house, and the next thing i knew i was outside, lying on a pile of rubble (3rd person) and looking at the ground, while there was a huge explosion. then, the next thing i knew i was in a fort in the city, and it was like the film 'I am legend' except instead of zombie/vampire things there were dinosaurs, and there were loads of women in revealing clothing (i remember a blue checked dress with the buttons on the front undone so i could see a clevage) around (i was watching tv that evening and the lostprophets - town called hypocrisy video was on... lots of women in ther underwear) moving through hatches and doorways like they were on a submarine. the rooms were styled like in the PC game portal, all white and shiney.

next, i was in a castle, on the walls, and there was another one on the other side of this huge field (like the garrys mod map GM_castlewarfare), except there were 2 more walls in the middle, one grey and the other brown. i remeber putting turrets on the wall, and pausing the dream every now and again to position a turret. i don't remember much. it was very garrys mod-esque.

it then cut to on the motorway (same dream as the first i think) and i was in a car with 2 other people (i think one was a man and the other a woman), and i kept seeing flashbacks of when all the people were still alive. we pulled off at the services for some fried chicken (btw i have never eaten fried chicken before), and i looked around and saw all these people. i then had a strong sense of dread, and i rushed the man getting the chicken. i felt the dinosaurs were almost there, and i panicked, and then we were off, but not in the car (i think it was a white hatchback originally) but on a trandem bike. i remember looking at the speedometer and thinking 'omg we're not going fast enough, they're going to catch us!!!!'. and then the dream stopped.

next i was on the top of a hill near the sea, on my mountain bike (i went mountain biking today). everything was vivid, like real life. the sea was bright blue, the sky was cloudless, i remember the grass on the side of the hill, growing out of the golden sand. i went down the hill, passing a small kiosk. the track was bumpy and small grey rocks poked through the sand. out in the sea were huge, towering outcrops (my guess is about 30m high) infront of the beach, about 10m out. the waves passed right through them. this is a recurring aspect of my dreams of the sea. i reached the bottom, and stopped at the side of a dune. at this point i became lucid. i thought to myself 'hey, i'm dreaming! and decided to check, by picking something out of my pocket and throwing it on the soft sand at the bottom of the dune. it turned out to be the box my ipod came in. i thought 'cool!' and then cycled off. i followed a road (i got a bit hazy at this point) and decided to go on a boat. so i stopped off at another kiosk and the next thing i knew, i was on a boat. the water was perfectly flat, except a small wave about 1ft high came every 50m and rocked the boat savagely. the next thing i knew i was awake.

i was aware i was dreaming for only a handful of seconds, but thats cool in itself! i'm anxious to see if it happens again in the near future, so i'm trying some of the techniques on this site.
