      Arrow New and with Questions. ._.;;

Oi. As you can already tell I am rather new here. Heck, I just joined five to seven minutes ago. >.>

But to the question I wish for an answer to.

About three months ago I had a rather peculiar but mind-altering experience. For three nights in a row I succeeded in having the same plot line in my dream, and each time I came back right where I left off. It was something amazing, and I really could not wait to go to sleep at night to see how the tale would end! But just as suddenly as this had come to me it left, leaving me at a cliff-hanger.

I still remember every little detail of the dream, and I have been longing to complete it and give it closure. What, do you propose, would be the best method for me to go about doing so?

      First, Welcome!

Going to bed and reviewing the dream in your mind as you fall asleep might help prime you to pick it back up. This works for the same reason we sometimes dream about things that have been on our minds lately. No guarantee it will work, but your curiousity has led you to a good place to find out more.

I'll bet somebody will follow me up with some better advice! There are a lot of really talented dreamers around here.

Thank you for the advice! ^^

Ah, I am so mad at myself. I use to be able to Lucid Dream like crazy when I was little. Now I can not do it as often, if at all. ._.

Maybe it is all part of that 'growing up' thing. =_=

It is, like anything, something that benefits from a bit of effort and practice.

Read on and keep asking questions, and you might regain the knack sooner than you'd think!

Wow sounds interesting! I have only had a chain of dreams in one night instead of spread out across 3 nights. Although I think I have had nights when I have had similar story lines and characters.

To be honest though, I doubt you will finish that dream off I suggest that you try self suggestion and repeat to yourself "I will continue that dream" before sleeping each night. Apart from that there isn't much else I can suggest, sorry

Oh and welcome to the forum!

      BlueOrigami. Pretty name.

You can get it back. I only remember rare lucids before I started trying, so I think you really have a head start if you used to do them frequently.

Good luck, and I wish you much success!

Thank you all who replied. Even though it has been a few days and I have yet to have a lucid dream, I am still trying. Maybe if I don't try it will happened better? Bah, who knows.

But for now I do find the methods listed on the forum to be very relaxing. My mind gets a kind of a buzz when I try the MILD method interlaced with the sounds of 'The Ultimate Lucid Induction' I got from here. It's very trippy. 8D

I guess I'll try again tonight. Hopefully I'll get my knack back for it soon, lest I become impatient and start punching the air where the dream should be. D:

Violence will only scare the dream away.

JK, I'm sure you will get it back. It might take a little time. Practice good recall, do your RC's, and I'm sure you will be there soon.

Back when I was in first grade I had something just like this. Except it lasted for almost the whole school year. Night after night, I would pick up where I left off. It's like reading a book. Sometimes I would be able to go through the day in my dream and fall asleep and when I go to sleep in real life i'll end up waking up in my dream and sometimes I would just like wake up in the middle of a sentence and come back and finish the rest of the sentence lol. But it was a pretty amazing experience, I wish I knew what lucid dreams were back then.

P.S. The dream was just like life, I went to school on the week days and stayed home on the weekends. And it ended with the school year being over and me kissing this girl I used to like back then.
