      Did I become lucid?

This morning I had a dream but I'm not sure if I was in control. I woke up very sleepy and decided to go back to sleep. In less than 10 seconds, I started getting very strong vibrations and started seeing images and hearing sounds. I stayed that way for a few more seconds then I thought," Watching these images is like watching a movie." Everything went black after I had that thought. I opened my eyes and I realized that I was sitting in a movie theater.... I knew I was dreaming at that point. This dream was very vivid and I remember everything I did. When I woke up it felt like just another regular dream. Is this what lucid dreams are like?

Lucid dreaming is just knowing your dreaming while your still dreaming, so yes, you were lucid.

Having control over a dream is a separate thing. People seems to get them confused a lot.

Yes, you had a lucid dream. If you know that you're dreaming then you are lucid dreaming.
