      Close to a LD, but what exactly happened?

      Ok, last night I was using MILD to wake up after every dreaming period, as allways. I was/am trying to DEILD, but allways move as soon as I wake up. However, last night i couldn't get to sleep as easily as I usually do when I wake up.

      I had a false awakening before I woke up for real. Then i moved around alot untill I got comfy, and yes I did a RC. After about 30 seconds of being comfy I felt really tired suddenly and just generally different. I did the throat RC to avoid moving too much, and it failed, so I tried to move, which I could, although it was difficult, at the time i put it down to being really tired and not really wanting to move. As soon as I moved I was wide awake and in reality (I did a RC).

      I think I was just starting to go into SP, but I moved too early (being paranoid that it was a FA or I was going to go into a dream and lose consciousness). But, why did I go into SP so quickly without meaning to? It seems more like DEILD, but I had been moving around alot and was relatively wide awake.

      any ideas?

      SAME exact thing that happened to me. I woke up and I tried to move to do a nose RC but I couldn't but I luckily had my head turned toward the clock so I did a quick RC on that and it failed so I just layed there waiting for a WILD to happen but it never did and the SP only lasted for like 5 seconds.

      14 LD's - 12 DILDs, 1 FILD, 1 MILD

      Yeah, i think if i had waited untill i went into a dream I would have gone lucid, but i moved too soon... I just find it strange how fast it happened, and i wasn't that tired either. I know Deild can be fast, but i moved alot because, as I said, i couldn't sleep very well.

      By the way if you cant do a nose RC you can sort of tense your throat so that that muscle (the one that moves when you swollow) will stop you from breathing through your nose. its usefull for situations where you want to try not to move (and be sure you are not still awake before you do move).
