      New, here. Few Questions

Hey, I've been studying some techniques on Lucid Dream for quite
some time. All I've really been doing was listening to mp3's to help me
induce, and I really had no luck with that, I guess because it keeps me
awake lol. I've also been a dry spell for over my teenage years.

Whats really a simple task I can do if I want to have a Lucid Dream TONIGHT?
I know RC is one of them, but does that basically help?

Hi, doing RCs in the dream takes time to build up. What U can do is to.....before U sleep like 15min before, do some good reality checks and imagine Urself becoming lucid and doing what U want to do in a lucid dream...basically get into the mood, chances are Ur mind will be so primed that it will carry out Ur instructions... Have U tried WBTB...that's a very effective technique..I have been using it and it gave me a lucid dream almost everytime I use it. U can watch LucidiPedia on Youtube during the WBTB.

Uh, I'm not sure what mp3 that you're using. But if you are using the one that I compiled, then it's designed to be listened to before bed, not during sleep. Turn it on before bed while you're doing stuff on the net, that's what I do and it works very well for me.

Yes, RCs help very much, but you have to do them a lot for them to carry over to your dream.

You could always attempt a WILD, but for your first lucid dream that might be very difficult and frustrating.

      Oh,

      tonight? you will need

      -reasonable sleeping hours
      -to be relaxed
-to be excited and expect to get lucid
-to practice reality checking and question reality throughout the day
      -try a WBTB technique.

THERE ARE SO MANY....check this guide in the WBTB section.

I reckon you should try one of these

or any of the other MANY versions of WILD

      Quality LD's: 16

      Oh,
Thanks for the welcome, I've used the mp3's made by really and phoenelai.
I guess those didn't seem work for me since I went to bed at 2 a.m
Guess that seems a little late lol.

Does yours happen to work very well?

I've had mine work for me on a pretty high basis, and from other people posting in the thread it seems to work pretty well.

When I want to try getting a lucid dream I pretend to float in water and rise when I close my eyes. With me this usualy leads to a dream where I can defy the laws of physics and jump as high as I want. It has led to being able to fly before but I prefer the gravity thing. Usualy I realize I'm in a dream when I jump from rooftop to roof top.

I just found out that alot of my dreams have been lucid! I always thought that I had to have control over things for it to be lucid

Meh...I've been having a hard time trying to use one of the techniques, I always
end up getting a regular dream and staying awake in the middle of the night
      getting a running nose.

Sorry, but stuff like this is difficult for me to practice just to lucid dream,
its all tiring me out and really hard to follow

eh i double post all the time. well, im fifteen and i wake up at five for school, so i stick to things where i dont have to wake up for long periods of time and stuff i do is like, before you go to sleep, try not listening to music. just lay in bed, anmd fall asleep naturally. maybe the music is keeping your mind too active?

      couldn't hurt to try

      and to DV

ugh...still not having any luck with it, I guess I'll just stick with the traditional
method: Writing in my dream journal and doing RC's.

      Thanks for the welcome btw.

I'd say start with reality checks and the WILD technique. RCs are just a habit to develope, and you can attempt a WILD each time you fall asleep without loosing sleep. At least with the technique I use, which is to fall asleep normally only wait for the "falling feeling" then let it continue until you're in a lucid dream. The WILD may or may not work until after several attempts, but you don't lose anything by trying. IMO, it's better to fall asleep and get a normal dream than to stay awake all night being frustrated. The RCs take some time to kick in, but they really increase your chances. For me, those two things work really well together, and thats how I've gotten most of my lucids so far. Also, keep a dream journal to help with recall.

If you want to go further and try the WBTB technique, make sure you have time to sleep in in the morning. You might also want to try experimenting with staying up for different lengths of time (eg, I know that an hour is too long for me because I can't get back to sleep).

When you hear that cold wind calling,
Hold on tight to your dream."

Try doing a WBTB, it helps a bunch.
