      Exclamation I'm New

Hi I'm new to this forum. I'm really interested in learning about lucid dreams and how to train myself to be able to accomplish lucid dreaming. I would like to learn as much about it as I can. I've always been fascinated by lucid dreams and how they work. In my opinion the whole idea of dreaming is amazing. Our logic and reason center is turned off in our brain while we sleep which enables us to imagine things without the boundaries of logic and reason. I hope to meet some new and helpful people in the community!

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

Be sure to read the main site and the tutorials, both of which provide helpful information on getting started with lucid dreaming. You may also want to read the quick start guide for information about the forum itself.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me or any of the other dream guides (members with green names) for assistance.

logic and reason still work to a degree, but we can chose to shut them off completely if we are lucid.

When we fall asleep, before the REM sleep, our "think center" is shut off. When we start dreaming, our REM sleep begins and our eyes start moving around under our eyelids. Even when we are lucid dreaming, that's a different part of our brain that is being used. Logic and Reason are not connected to that.
