not sure.. is this a possible WILD technique?

i have an extremely active imagination. I daydream all the time and sometimes get lost in them. Tonight I was thinking of doing that while going to sleep.. something i've never done before. Basically what I was thinking of doing is daydreaming about having a lucid dream, or something along the lines of attaining lucidity, in hopes of falling directly into a lucid dream. is this already a technique? do you think this might work?

any feedback on this would be sweet!

I think that if you did that, stayed completely still, and don't get distracted, you might have some success. But stay focused! Don't get caught up in your daydream. You might wander off and no longer be lucid.

That can be a type of WILD, I suppose, as long as you are conscious and then go straight into a lucid dream.

The day dreaming sounds like you could be doing a VILD though.

ehh.. it didn't work so well. I was having trouble letting my mind wander off because I was too concentrated. So i ended up just giving up and letting myself just fall asleep in hopes of catching myself while in a dream. I also tried something I read about in Mes Tarrant's DJ, something about telling yourself with conviction that you would have a lucid dream. . . I had no such luck.. and I had pretty bad dream recall at first until I started writing what little I could remember. Slowly parts came back, but I can never seem to remember what my DC's are saying to me. Just how i feel about what they're saying

      And thats fully normal.
The more you care about your dreams, the more you will remember. But if you now can ask yourself a question. Is this what I want to do all my life? and answer yes. Then dont rush yourself and start slowly. You have all the time of your life. So work with your recall. Play with it. Take your imagination and be happy about it, becouse you are doing it for yourself. .

Your recall and concentration will improve for sure.

yeah, i'm definitely not going to rush myself because it is something I have already decided i'm going to work on for the rest of my life. but can't a guy be excited about it?! haha. I understand that it's going to take time and that I have quite a while to work on it, so I don't get upset when I don't have a lucid dream because I like having my regular dreams anyways. Even if i'm not lucid because they're pretty cool and weird stuff happens a lot
