Welcome 0112...
I've noticed too, that if I don't write down my dreams, or at least jot down some key words, they slip away so fast.
And don't get discouraged. It takes a while.
What I did that helped me was to question my state thoughout the day ("am I dreaming?")
And learn to do WBTBs, where I get about 5 hours sleep, then wake up for about an hour and then go back to sleep with the expectaion that I will become lucid. As I drift back to sleep I imagine what it is I want to do when I become lucid. This has been my surest way to have a lucid dream.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
