My greatest goal in lucid dreaming

Hello, since i was about 14 years old i had an idea of what would i do if i could relive my life since age 6 but with the exception that i have the knowledge and mind of my present self (an 18 years old me in a body of a 6 year old boy).
the idea came to me after i watched an episode of dragonball z in which the characters trained inside a room that made 1 day into 1 year.
the idea is that if i could relive the conditions of my life since the age of 6 till the age of 16, i could implement what i learned from past mistakes and maybe change myself and to become a much better person than i was and i am today.
at first i knew that it is pure fantasy but when i researched lucid dreaming from the physiological, neurobiological and the mental side i discoverd that what i learn during a lucid state is equale to what i learn during wake time, and that can be shown in the creation of new neuro pathways and neuro bridges in the brain.
as it is today my goals are to train my mind during dreams to achieve lucidity at any time i want, to control the dream state in a way that i could bend the world that i create to limitations of the physical world such as gravity and even development of the body and the natural actions in the world.
my greatest goal is to use what i learned to stay in the dream world for 10 years so i could learn and train and do things otherwise than i done it when i was 6 years old till the age of 16.

my question for you, fellow dreamers, is what is your thought of this, is this even possible and why i shoud or shouldn't do it, and how can i train my self sufficent enough to do it.

I dobut wether you could actually stay in a dream for 10 years.

Even then, 10 years in a dream is 10 years. You'd be better off to go out and learn things in the real world.

Vortex, I don't think it's practical or even possible to live that much of your life over in dreams. Everybody looks back on their lives to an extent and wishes they could do parts of it over, knowing what they know now.

Try to look at it like you have a lot of experience from those mistakes that you wouldn't have gained otherwise, which will help you in the future. That time you are talking about is called your childhood; of course you didn't do everything perfectly or with the adult knowledge that you have now.

I could say the same thing about things I did in my twenties, thirties....you see, it never ends. Just do the best you can at the time. Meanwhile, use your lucid dreams for fun.

Even if you corrected your past mistakes, they would only be corrected in the dream world. In reality, what you did was done, there's nothing that can change that. Doing it differently in the dream may let you experience how your life would have been without doing it, but when you woke up from the dream, everyone who knew of your mistakes would still know them. Nothing would have changed, nothing would have been gained, and you would have wasted time and energy doing something that is most likely not even possible. I agree with the fact that you would be better off learning things in the real world.

as far as learning things from your dreams goes, go ahead. There's no harm in trying to learn from every experience you have, whether it be in a dream or reality, but dont devote that much time in your life to something that's not going to make much of a difference

      That's some goal.

I'd say, after a good while of lucid dreaming and experimenting in your dream world extensively (both in serious and fun ways) that if you still want to give it a shot, go for it. It'd be an interesting experience at the very least.

i probably need much more practice and understanding of lucid dreams before i plan to conquer the dream world, i only had maybe 5-6 short lucid dreams.
i had only my own perspective of this goal and telling it in this forum and receiving your thought of it changed my perspective.
now i will concentrate on my other goals, like achieve lucidity at least for 10 minutes.

by the way, thank you for reading and repling, your advises and thoughts of what i wrote really helps me.

Good luck lucid dreaming and good luck with that greatest goal when you gain enough experience and confidence to do it.
