Thanks dude its a big help

How long do lucid dreams usually last for then? And when I finally LD will it just be like the dreams I have sometimes had where I remember the whole lot of the dream? Or so much more than that?

Lucid Dreams last as long as your REM Sleep Stage lasts, which can be anywhere from 10 minutes, to over an hour and a half. However, when you do become lucid, the first few times anyway, you might end up waking yourself up. Its a common thing that happens to people when they first become lucid because they get excited, and the excitement wakes them up. I would look into Dream Stabilization techniques so that when you do become lucid, you can hang onto them.

With Lucid Dreams, I find I remember much much more than regular dreams. I think it has to do with you already being conscious in the dream, and so the memories aren't stored in your sub-conscious where they are harder to reach, but rather in your conscious memory where you can more easily access them.

There is no definite answer to either of those questions though, and so your experiences may vary with whats been said here.

this is how my experiances were last night:

      1. I put the TV on, like I would If I was actually going to sleep, and layed their still with my eyes shut.
      2. I decided to basically just take my mind of things and act is I would if I were trying to nod off to sleep; I just kept my ears open listening to the TV to keep my mind awake.
      3. Before I knew it, I started feeling a bit like my legs were walking in mid air, then I got a heatwave and felt like I was vibrating. This sadly only lasted about 2 minutes and once the effects had gone I thought to myself 'ahh well its over now I'll just get up', so when i got up my body felt this rush as if it had only just woken up. Tonight Im going to stay still for as long as possible, even if the effects do go.

Am i getting closer to a LD?
      thanks

Does it sound like I almost reached an LD?
