      Control of your mind?

Hey, I'm Jamal and 18 years old and I just found out about this forum

I never knew there was so much technique involved in lucid dreaming, since it actually came natural to me,I didnt knew how it was called before i met this forum, and just starting lucid dreaming.
But i've had a few problems with it.
Totally great that other people have it too (never knew many people have it too, nobody in my area had it)

I've been trying to narrow the lucid dreaming down, first i would just fly around and go to toys stores (talking about when i was little) then it got boring and i would basicaly just do some funny stuff, nothing special

Like 1 year ago I'm trying to get to the limits of my dreams.
I tried controlling other people and what they do, it worked and was pretty sweet , then i started to do more things that involve time or whiping out an entire area (the area itself, not the people, im not a mass murderer ;p) and i've tried frozing time once, and it actually worked, and i could slowmotion it aswell, was quiet suprised it actually worked...
basicaly i got it down to, everything what the mind wants goes (is that correct?)
      now the actual question comes

I've had this urge of trying to awaken when I lucid dream, my main method was just smacking myself and saying DUDE you aint gonna wake up (or something else motivating) but eventually i just wake up...

Then the froze time stopping came, and I didnt feel the feeling of "waking up" anymore, which totally shocked me.. then it crossed my mind....
Am i actually "pushed out" of my dream, or is it my mind telling myself that im getting pushed out the moment im getting lucid and therefor rly pushing me out of my dream.
(what the mind thinks goes in a lucid dream right? atleast thats how i experienced it)
How do i get rid of the feeling of the dream ending?

Also, I've been having alot less lucid dreamings in the period of time, whats the connection that makes you have a lucid dream?
I usually dont have them when i go to my bed and tell myself "oke im gonna lucid dream " but more have them when i just relax and go to bed and totally relax myself.

Also, are there any other stats beyond (or before?) lucid dreaming, i searched on the forum a bit but all i saw was shortcuts to names.
*edit* Just saw the tutorial section about the dream states, good stuff!

Sorry for my bad english, my mother tongue isn't english.

      Welcome to Dreamviews, Jamal!

Your English is great - I understood it perfectly. To answer your question about the dream ending, there are a number of techniques that can be used to stop it from ending. One popular technique is to spin your dream body. That's all it is - just spinning. You can also try touching the dream objects around you - feeling their shape, their temperature, etc.

You're what we call a natural lucid dreamer - someone who has them without trying. It's a great ability to have.

Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Just relax more, if you go to bed stressing that you're going to have a lucid dream than you probably aren't. Most of my lucid dreams come accidentally.

As for staying in a dream. I use a method that's very different from everyone else's. Read the tutorial on DEILD. If you feel your lucid dream ending, let it end, but after you wake up, don't open your eyes or move a muscle. Your mind thinks that it woke up prematurely and immediately goes back into a dream.

I don't personally use audio for my dream journal, but it's a perfectly good way to do it. Especially because most people can talk faster than they can write, which is a large benefit when it comes to remembering your dreams - the faster you can write them down (or record them), the better.
