Heya, let me give you some tips on Dream Journals. First, make it look really pretty and cool, so let your inner self feel comfortable writing dreams in it, it helps very little, but we all know Tesco's motto, every little helps! (think that's it anyway)
Secondly, keywords, how long is it before you start forgetting? Because when you wake up, if you write down keywords, one, they help you naturally remember your dream better without having to write down a whole page of your dream which is what I hated having to do. And two, if you do forget, you'll remember once you look at the words.
Third tip, when you wake up, keep completely still, this will allow your mind to remember your dreams more easily. Rehearse explaining the dream in your head, that's what I do, makes it all easier to stay, that's when I write down the keywords, when I'm completely sure I've got the dream and won't forget in between that time and writing down the keywords. But if you're writing keywords, try not to make it last too long before you type it up or write it down, because for that, it requires more keywords than normal, because after a few hours your mind will forgot the source of the dream and you will have to focus on what you remembered from information memory and not from the dream itself, if you get me. So that's why you need to write down more keywords than normal if you plan on writing or typing it later on in the day.
Fourth tip, if your recall is really that bad, start off by guessing when you're in your dream, and set your alarm to wake you up in the middle of the dream, so then you can remember it more easily. But that is only if you're really desperate, for an easier time with this, see this guide for what I'm talking about - Click
Actually, you know what? That isn't a bad idea at all, try WBTB if you want, it's an alright technique, helps you will recall and lucid dreaming together.
Fifth tip, just practice and wait. It differs how quickly or slowly your recall increases, don't worry about it! It may take some time but it will be worth it.
Sixth tip, believe! If you're having bad luck, don't let it turn into a Placebo. Basically, don't let it get to you because the mind is sensitive to believing what deep down you think, so it's important to know you will remember your dream. If anyone else wants to make that sound more clear, maybe a Dream Guide could help me out with that one?
Oh and by the way, feel free to check out the online Dream Journals section which is here - Click
Hope I'll helped mate!
